Hello all!

This season I am planning to install a solar cover with an automatic reel. While searching for the equipment, i stumbled upon liquid heat. It says that it is a chemical added to the pool everyday to retain heat and reduce evaporation.

The main reason for a solar cover is to reduce evaporation. Do you guys think rather than installing a solar cover, I should use something like liquid heat?

Any ideas will be most appreciated.

Thanks!

There was just a big discussion about these recently. Basically if forms a layer on the water to prevent evap. Apparently does not work well if it is generally windy and if you use the pool alot then it gets splashed out of the pool.

Let me see if I can find the link.

Here it is.
