    Pool cleaner connection

We currently have a Hayward Phantom pool cleaner, a pressure-side cleaner with a booster pump. It works great when it works, but sadly that is not very often. We have replaced lots of parts, over and over again, and are just tired of having to fix it. We are thinking of getting a new cleaner, so my question is this: Is the connection built into the side of the pool a standard size thing? Or am I going to have to measure it and try to match it when we are researching a new one? Sorry if this is a silly question , we didnt pick out the Phantom since it came with our pool. Thanks.

The connection should be a standard size. Most any pressure side cleaner will have adapters to fit it. If the particular cleaner oyu get doesn't have it then you can buy one separately.
