Thread: Sonar pool alarm?

    Sonar pool alarm?

We're breaking ground soon on a 40x10 in-ground pool with spa. We have many young children in our neighborhood, so in addition to the fence, we're adding a motorized safety cover.

I'm curious if anyone has experience with SonarGuard or similar sonar alarms. I'm attracted by the fact that it automatically rearms itself, and could provide a passive system to back up the fence and cover.

It would be helpful to here from anyone who has direct experience using or installing it.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Sonar pool alarm?

Generally pool alarms are a nuisance and seldom get used.

I looked at and considered the Sonarguard, but I couldn't get the company to respond to my questions about the unit so I didn't follow through.

I have some work experiencing processing passive sonar audio, and it seemed like a great idea.
