I have read the BBB method. Our pool should arrive in the next few weeks it 24ft round 52 wall...They pool people will give me enough chemicals for 2 weeks.. What else will I need for my new pool? I live in southaven,ms, near memphis tn. Just trying to prepare while I can.....

Step one is a test of your fill water so you know what to expect as far as TA, CH and other minerals. Your installer can test for you initially, or you can contact your water utility to ask about hardness, alkalinity and metals.

You are going to want your own test kit, and the TFP-100 from TFTestkits.net is a good one and a good deal.

Agreed, get one of those test kits - it's a must have. WHen I was waiting for my pool I used the time to practice running tests on my water so I knew what to expect when fill time came.
