Recommendations for umbrellas for my pool "beach"?

Our pool has two "beaches" -- very shallow areas where a toddler (or adult) can splash around in about 1.5 feet of water. These "beaches" have holes in the middle of them, in the pool floor, to accept an umbrella with a shaft of perhaps 2-3 inches in diameter. Since the mount is underwater, I reckon we'd want this to be an umbrella with a plastic shaft.

Anyone have recommendations for what type of umbrella to buy and where to buy it?

Not sure if this will be helpful or not since your posts are in the water. However, we have been buying aluminum shaft umbrellas for our pool. We have three and switched from wood since the Houston humidy seems to warp those quickly. We purchased ours from Sam's Club for around a $120.00 each. They seem to last about 3 years before the suns gets to them. If you could find a stronger enough plastic shafted umbrella that might be ideal. Good luck.

Most umbrellas have either wood or aluminum shafts. Stay away from the wood as the wood will swell up and possibly get stuck in your sleeve. Use a metal shafted umbrella and the cost will mostly depend on the quality of fabric that is used. If you do find a plastic or composite shafted umbrella, they should be fine to use.
