I have a Jandy Aquapure SWCG & a Nature 2 Purifier on my pool. Do I need the Nature 2? Can I just take out the mineral catridge? The pool was installed last year so I am a pool novice. I don't want to mess anything up!

No you do not need the Nature2 and I recommend not using it. All you need to do is to remove the cartridge and you will be fine.
Whether you can remove the cartridge or not depends on which model N2 you have. The Express model needs a cartridge in it at all times or the water will leak out. In that case just don't change the cart.
