I've owned a solar cover for several years, but never use it because of the hassle. However, after spending way too much for propane last year to keep my pool at a temperature warm enough for the ladies, I decided to look into getting a reel for my solar cover and actually put it to work.
I turned to YouTube for ideas about solar reel installations and came across a "mod" for a cover that I think is worth sharing. I definitely plan to fashion a similar rig for my cover.
