    Re: Electric Rates

    .085 and contract goes through 12/2012. With natural gas down rates should be falling.

    I feel for the CA people who report rates in the .20-30 range. Really poor leadership by the CA powers that be.

    Re: Electric Rates

    For PG&E and Marin Clean Energy in the San Francisco Bay Area:

    Monthly Usage
    <= 375 kWh ........... $0.145 per kWh
    375 - 488 kWh ....... $0.163 per kWh
    488 - 750 kWh ....... $0.329 per kWh
    655 - 1125 kWh ..... $0.401 per kWh
    > 1125 kWh ........... $0.431 per kWh

    This is why it was very much worth it to me to get a Pentair Intelliflo VF pump since that cut my pump electricity usage roughly in half.

    Re: Electric Rates

    I am located in Santa Rosa, California, a few miles north of Chem Geek in San Rafael.

    For the first 339.3 KWH, I pay 0.12845 per KWH. The next tier up is .14603 per KWH, and I usually don't reach that level, but occasionally I dip into it a little. There are a few more tiers, with the most expensive being 0.34 per KWH.

    In addition, there was $2.38 in taxes on my last bill.
