Good call! That's a really great price for purchase and install of a variable speed pump. I've seen plenty of pool repair places quote $2000 plus to install one, which is why I did it myself for about $1000 for pump, parts and sales tax.

Total ended up at $1400 after he had to fix some other stuff that went out on it too.
