Welcome to the forum. Any form of copper in any pool is seldom a good idea. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish and I'll bet we can suggest a to do it without copper.
By maintaining your residual free chlorine level where it belongs, no algaecides are needed. Copper sulfate acts as an algaecide. Chlorine kills algae far more quickly. The copper effectively does nothing except to greatly increase you risk for green stains.
