Filter brands

I have an inground pool that uses a Jandy filter system, which, in turn, uses four R0554600 filter cartridges. It's about time to replace them for the first time. Any advice on whether I can go outside the OEM selection and use a cheaper variety, such as the Unicel brand? It's considerably cheaper, but I'm afraid that I might get what I pay for.

Unicel cartridges are just fine. They are one of the two major OEM brands, i.e. the place where the filter manufacturers get the cartridges they sell with the filter.

I think Unicel's website has a size finder feature where you can find the equivalents of different brand names
