Polaris 280 gets stuck at walls and steps

The front wheel will not turn with enough torque to go up the wall. When it does go, most of the time it takes hard right turns.

I have changed out most of the bearings, wheels, and tires.

Any ideas? Or should I just take it to the pool store and let them figure it out.

Did you check the filter in the wall to make sure it's clean?

Take the case apart and make sure there no leaks at any of the hoses in the water management system.

Make sure the backup valve is working properly and fully closing after it backs up.

Just a few ideas based on my experience with my Polaris.

Good luck!

Filter- clean
Backup valve-good
Internal hose- good
Sweeper hose- one small hole I can patch, but that shouldn't affect the wheels, right.

Only thing I did was take off the float and forgot to put it back on. Now it works fine. Coincidence? What does that thing do?

I think the hole in the sweeper hose shouldn't affect much of anything. I was told, however, that the Polaris has a finely tuned water system and any glitch will affect the overall performance.

Glad to hear it's working good enough again!
