Brought a new Polaris booster pump to replace 9 yr pump which was making a horrible noise. Seemed simple enough, except after we connected pump we had no electricity from load wires going to the pump from the T104 timer. Hot wire to timer OK, but no juice from original load terminals leading to the pump. From the timer we have one green wire and 2 red wires to the booster pump. Could I shorted out the timer? Clock is working on the timer.

Did you replace the service from the timer to the pump or did you simply disconnect the wiring at the pump and re-wire it to the new one? That's a 230v timer so you should get 230v across terminals 1 and 3 all the time and 230v to terminals 2 and 4 with the timer switch on. If there's damage to the timer's contactor it should be easily visible from the back if you remove the guts. Be sure to turn the breaker off. Speaking of, have you reset the breaker? The clock motor runs on 230v so it sounds like the incoming power is fine but worth a shot.
Thanks Spishex for your response. rechecked it all. Just disconnected old pump,and hooked up new pump. Nothing, replaced wiring, new connectors, still nothing. Load wires all hot. So reconnected old pump and it started screeching, so I now think that we received a factory defective pump. Can't be anything else.
Bummer. No noises coming from it at all? Is it a convertible motor? It should have come pre-wired for 230v but something could have slipped loose. Double check the wiring diagram on the side against what you see on the terminals. You may also want to open the capacitor housing on the side if it has one and check that those wires haven't come loose. Be sure to discharge it before touching the terminals.
