mixed cyanuric acid with water in a bucket swirled it for few minutes before pouring it in the pool . ran the pump for 8 hours before turning it off . in the morning there was discoloration on the plaster where the acid was . wandering if there is any remedy for plaster surface

Were you using liquid or granular CYA?
If it was granular, was it completely dissolved or were there granules left sitting on the bottom?

Describe the stains, or better yet, post a picture. I'm visualizing white freckles against the pale blue-grey plaster. That's what I had. Turns out the white is the plaster, the other color was calcium scale, a nice, uniform coating.
CYA is a mild acid and usually not an issue unless left laying on a surface. If you're lucky it will be scale as Richard says and keeping your FC at the top of the recommended level for your CYA for a while it'll fade and become uniform again. Even if it's not scale it will become more even over time, it just takes a lot longer.
We recommend adding CYA to a sock in front of a running return or putting it in a skimmer and running the pump till it's dissolved.

Thank u for the responses , with understandig of the issue it already feels better . It is the scale and i can see by time it becomes right again.
