Gas Anyone?

This is the gas line going to the pool/spa heater. According to the original owner's gas piping permit, it goes down 18 inches. Is this the riser going down to the plastic gas pipe? Is it acceptable to crack like this? There is no smell of gas.

i would say its only a matter of time till you get a leak, i would replace it
