    Hello from SW Missouri

Hello all... I stumbled on this site and find it already helpful.

I live in SW Missouri, Springfield to be exact, and we just moved into a home with a pool. I can't tell you much about it yet since I'm pretty much a pool virgin, but I'll learn soon enough.

My wife and I moved here five years ago from Arkansas. I love to fly fish and therefore the handle "ArkieFlyGuy" fits. I also like to hunt, play guitar and mandolin, do woodworking, cook outdoors, tie my own flies, and write. I have a book published called "Dragonflies on my Rod Tip" about growing up and living in the Ozarks.

My wife and I are really looking forward to enjoying the new pool, even though it will be limited this year. It's 102 here today, so at least ONE more dip will be nice...

Look forward to learning from all of you and appreciate you being kind to a noob!!!

I work in Springfield and live in Buffalo. This site has helped me through my first summer with a pool without an algae bloom, very good advice here.
