More pump problems - Cuts off after a minute and runs hot

I installed my new pump about a month ago. yesterday I walk outside and the pump is making a very low hum and not doing anything. It is extremely hot to the touch. Once it has cooled for a little while, you can turn it on and it will pump and move water and then cut off within a minute. The pump shuts down and maintains a low hum. I'm trying to go through and check the resistance on the capacitors and such, but I'm not having much luck tracking down the problem. I'll have to get in touch with Hayward for warranty work possibly, but I'd like to have an idea of what is going on. Any direction on where to start?

Yup... what he said. My pump did this when first installed because the electrician didn't wire the pump for 120v. Pump came wired for 220v by default.
