Help with new cleaner purchase

I'm looking for your thoughts on what to get to replace my old Polaris 380 that has been in operation for 7 years of continuous use. More often than not, I find the 380 motionless and in need of a new part or disassembly to rehook a hose or two. I want to stick with the booster pump / cleaner combination and not plunge into the robot arena.

My pool:
20x40 with a 9 foot deep end
Plaster surface
Corner angles are 45 degrees except for the stairs section
3/4 hp Polaris booster pump

The pool collects many small leaves and approximately 20 larges leaves per day.

Do I stick with the 380, upgrade to the 480, downgrade to the 280, or go with a totally different manufacturer?

My order of priorities:
1) Length of time required to clean the pool
2) Depedability
3) Price

Thanks for your comments!

I have the Polaris 280, which IMHO is better than the 380. It uses gears inatead of belts to drive it and has far fewer problems from what I have read. It still uses the booster pump and probably the same wall fitting...
