Baking soda to use for BBB...can I use detergent?

I know that Pool school states that it is the same Arm & Hammer found in the baking aisle.
But I ask if I can use the A&H powdered clothes detergent.

BJ's sells big containers of it and coupons are usually mailed to the house.

Is it the same thing?

No. A&H Laundry Detergent is not baking soda or washing soda. A&H Baking Soda is an orange box or bag and Super Washing Soda is a yellow box.

I had assumed it is the same thing, based on sodium bicarbonate's versatility (antacid, deodorizer, alkalinity raiser...etc)

Baking soda raises TA a great deal and PH just a tiny bit.
Washing soda raises PH a great deal and TA some.
Borax raises PH a great deal and TA just a little.
Laundry detergent makes a huge mess.
