    Algae On Pool Cover

OK, it's not technically in the pool but I'm wondering how to keep algae from growing on my automatic pool cover? There are folds where water stands when I extend the cover and algae grows. It's a heavy canvas or such cover.

dilute some chlorine (by a lot...down to about 10ppm) and spray it onto the cover. Probably have to do it as part of routine maintenance.
