Gunite Question

Just had my gunite pool shot last week. My PB says 28 days to cure. Anyone else having to wait 28 days as well?

Mine was about 70 days between Gunite and Plaster. But they did the waterline tile and the coping much sooner.

I've always seen it take that long with gunite, but only a week or 2 with shotcrete. I have no idea why.

You need all your safety stuff and other permits signed off before you can install the plaster. I assume that is the reason most of the time.

Thanks guys. Heard from my PB last night. If the weather cooperates - in PA it's been raining almost every day for the past 6 days - final plumbing and waterline tile will be getting done next week.

~28 days is how long it takes for concrete to reach it's full cure. Your PB seems to understand this

This is good and proper advice and is very sound reasoning
