cleaned my de filter for the first time tonight. Cleaned the grids and put back exactly. Once I turned the pump back on and got the pump primed up I added de to the skimmer the something bad happened. The entire pool turned into a cloudy mess and it looks like the de is sitting in the bottom of the pool. I cut off the pump and checked the filter to see if anything looked loose which there were not so I reassembled. I then just backwashed and rinsed a few times and added more de just to be safe. Any idea as to what happened? My heart dropped once this happened, just let me know.
