Sounds freezing...my wife won't get in if it's less than 90, and won't stay in for more than 5 minutes if it's below 95.

My waterfall and fountain running at night are keeping it close to 87. Colder is better with weather like this.

I know people with darker bottom pools with water over 100. Why bother getting in?

Melt, your wife must like hot tubs than? Texasdad, neighbor has a play pool that is at 99* and refuses to try the cooling tower because her pool guy say not to run the pool at night in the summer!! I keep throwing tea bags over the fence in the pool, but the joke is getting old.....lol!

This frog hasn't swum once yet...

Although I donned a bikini today. Promptly covered it up with clothing with little intent to bathe in it. I was just messin with the kids actually...

    They were frightened.

Don't waste time and energy looking for a better value on test kits, the TF100 is the best deal around. I did the looking and spent the extra money, but you don't have to make the same mistake. Just go here: TFTestkits. I use Pool Calculator for min/max, and shocking chlorine levels.

83 is nice. I ran my cooler a couple nights ago...for 12 hours and took it from 89 to 81. Sweet!

Steve, self made. 3/4 PVC with 1/16 holes drilled. 28" horizontal ejection rail getting about 8' of air.

Are you running the cooling at night? Is that how you are doing this?

Well, your thread here is quite an endorsement for the Spray Method!

I'm not sure it's really a spray method, but it works great! 1/16 drilled holes more like a fountain. Droplets raining down from 8 feet.

    maxepr1,

I know this thread is old but was wondering if you would be so kind as to post some pictures of your cooling setup (plumbing and all). my pool in the summer gets up into the 90's water temp wise and its a little too warm for me. i would much rather prefer to sweat before i get into the pool not after haha.

Im considering adding a line to my return with a diverted line that would go to the cooling tower/bar, (Its an above ground pool 24' round approx. 13,500 gallons.
    thanks.
