pac fab multiport

Our multiport (pac fab multiport 8 position 1.5 inch) has become increasingly noisy. It quiets down for a bit after a backwash/rinse but then seems to go right back to it. Kind of a high pitched whine.
Are these things rebuildable? I see a spring in the schematic, which always worries me, having spent a few hours on hands and knees looking for a wayward spring... so is it something I can do myself?
Also if anyone knows a good source in Canada for parts for this peice, I'd love to hear from you.

So if it's making noise, is that what I should be doing? Rebuilding it?

If it's making noise it's a good indication that something is loose so rebuilding it is a sound plan. It could be a weak spring or a loose gasket.
