the finish is beadcrete's shadow contour. i think the color is tahoe blue with 70% glass beads and 30% pebbles.

thanks again for all of the nice replies. i can't believe it is almost labor day and i still don't have a working pool. they are supposed to bury the propane tank tomorrow and hook up the heater. i did jump in the pool yesterday but it was quite cold, water temp low 70's. i hope that they can finish up the final work in the next two weeks. i want to put in a pergola and firepit at the deep end of the pool but that will have to wait until next year. this project has gone way over budget. i will probably have to wait until spring to finish the landscaping as well.

the deep conrner of the spa is a deep soaking well. it comes up almost to my shoulders and my wife's chin. it is really nice to stand in there and let the jets hit you. i can't wait to heat up the spa and use it after work.

the PB wasn't happy with how the water was flowing over the vanishing edge so he is replacing the blue stone on the left side.

almost finished with the spa area patio.

Man I wish I had Thot of a soaking well that's genius. Sounds like a good pool builder too if he is nitpicking for you on stuff.

I hope you are, to put a fine point on it, stinking rich, coz that propane is mighty expensive and that heater will gobble it like candy.

yeah lershac i am definately worried about the heating bill for the pool. because i like a warm pool. i guess we will have to see if i have to spend the kids college fund or not.

our pool builder he has been pretty good about making sure everything turns out as he envisioned. i think this is his favorite pool build this year as he has been very passionate about it. i think that he re-did the jet placement in the spa about three times until he got it just how he wanted it. the jets are at different levels on the three sides. one side is at butt level, one side is at lower back level, and one side is at midback level. one side also has a jet at calf level.

carlscan, the second fixture is an underwater speaker. we put two of them in the pool. they are not hooked up yet so i can't tell you how they sound. hopefully the system will be up this weekend.
