First, raise the TA to about 50. Then test the PH again and adjust it as needed from there.

Increasing the pH will increase the TA.

    Re: Red TA test

The numbers above are from a friend's pool. He asked me to test his water and tell him what he needed to do. So I did. He didn't. Why ask, then?
Red irritated eyes, a skin rash, dry nasty looking hair and he is not going to get on the website b/c he said he got spam the first time he was on. I told him he needed a better filter (spam that is). He isn't. No more free testing for him.

There is no spam here. It's a forum, not an email list.

Must have been some other site. Spammers here would have to register, and then post their spam to the forums. They would promptly be banned.

Don't waste time and energy looking for a better value on test kits, the TF100 is the best deal around. I did the looking and spent the extra money, but you don't have to make the same mistake. Just go here: TFTestkits. I use Pool Calculator for min/max, and shocking chlorine levels.
