According to my k-2006 test kit, my CYA is around 180. I found this by filling halfway to the first line with pool water and the other half with tap water before adding the reagent then doubling the result.. Is this acceptable? Without the tap water, the dot disappears within a few drops.
1. Pool is super clear
2. Other readings are: ph 7.4, fc 5, ta 110....
3. I'm fighting previous owner's liberal use of tricolor tabs
4. I lose about 2 ppm chlorine a day (although it has been insanely hot in Indy, does that matter?)
5. I have an auto cover that stays on a lot
What should I do? Am I doing the test wrong?
