    CYA and CL

I understand the basic idea behind the CYA and CL chart. I was just curious on the details of how CYA affects CL and what it exactly does. Does high CYA just slow down CL or does it inhibit it's strength entirely?

I'm ready for some "sciencey" answers

Wander on over to the chem 201 section and read a few of Richard's (Chem Geek) posts on the chlorine/CYA relationship. He explains it really well.
