Spa Spillway.... Dimensions and edge type for the granite

We are building a new pool and adding a spa spillway that will drop 38" down to the pool. The spillway granite will be 10' long by 16" wide with a 1 1/2" to 6" overhang in the center due to a curve in the wall of the spa.

Questions:

Should we use a waterfall edge on the granite?
Does the overhang seem right?
We'll but a saw cut underneath for a drip edge....is there anything else we need to consider?
