New pool. Have IC-20. Can't maintain adequate flow. Frequent red flow light. Chlorine level drops. I can fix this for a day, but then happens again. Have been able to maintain this by fixing low flow every day or 2. However, going on vacation. Can't rely on IC-20 for about 10 days. Thought about turning off IC-20. Keep VS-3050 pump running on low speed. How can I temporarily chlorinate pool without IC-20. I have trichlor tablets and skimmer socks. Will trichlor tables in skimmer socks work temporarily? Or a different chlorine tablet in skimmer socks? Or floating chlorine device. Don't want to spend a lot of money. When I return, pool builder will need to permanently fix low flow issue on IC-20. Thanks.
Temporary chlorine generator alternative?

I have used a Walmart floater for trichlor when I have gone out of town. No problems.
We also have an automatic pool cover. Planned on keeping cover closed. Floater works OK with cover closed?
