Preparing for the week ahead

The weather forecast for Michigan this week is in 100's and extremely high humidity; Not the norm for northern Michigan weather. What should I do first to prepare 14,000 gal/2500gph filter pool with Krystal Clear SWG for the heat and excessive usage.
If I understand correctly I need to get the stabilizer in the pool, since it will take a week to work should I purchase liquid stabilizer instead? I would rather spend a few extra dollars now to save a headache later. Would adding a pool shock help anything.

You need CHLORINE in your pool!! How long has FC been at zero?

After the chlorine you can add the CYA. There's really no reason to buy the liquid. You don't have to be in a hurry, just keep your FC up while it's dissolving. If you want it instantly and don't care about the cost, then go ahead.
