intelliflo speed for backwashing

I searched around and didn't find the answer. I'm sure the question has been asked before.
I just installed a bunch of new equipment and I'm not sure where to set the pump speed for backwashing the sand filter.

You want 15 gpm per square foot of sand surface area. If your filter is 3.5 square foot, then you want 52.5 gpm.

Since there is not too much head loss during backwashing, 1,500 rpm should be fine. You can increase the rpm if the flow seems to be less than necessary.
