Larrs 400k Series 1 heater pilot will not light up

Hi I am new to this sire but I can not see how to start a post.
Moved to a new topic. JasonLion
I have Larrs 400k Series 1 heater and the pilot will not light up.
I see ignitor sparking and hear pilot valve opening, got gas from pilot tubing fitting on valve but it will not light up

Pilot light will not light up. There is spark and gas at pilot tubing at valve

I thought the flame sensor only comes into play after the pilot lights up.
I have been wrong before.
How do I remove the pilot assembly

The pilot orifice is located on the pilot where the tube from the gas valve goes into the pilot. Often on older heaters they are so corroded onto the heater, that you have to replace the entire pilot. If you can remove the brass fitting from the bottom of the pilot, you can look up into the pilot and see the orifice. If you stick a small screwdriver, or wire into the orifice you may be able to remove the clog.
