Hello, I recently purchased a new house with a inground liner pool. I've learned alot from this website over the past week.
My pool was holding water for 2 weeks with no noticable losses.
I just added a liner patch around the top of the pool (ameri-sheild) and I am very pleased with the looks.
The problem is that the patch (or more likely the hh-66 glue) caused the old liner to pull away from the steps. There is now about a 0.5" gap that the water is leaking if I fill it.
So I have a vinyl liner and it seems like a plastic hold-down that seperates the steps from the pool.
My question is, do I use pool putty, marine silicone, or vinyl patch?
Or do I unscrew the hold-down and patch the vinyl and screw the hold-down back?
Pics are attached. Any help would be much appreciated!!!
