new pool plaster Help

I am building a pool and am torn between plaster choices. Pebble based have heard is and seems to be rough. Leaning towards quartz for a smoother finish. Any suggestions?

Check out Florida Gem products. Quartz based exposed aggregate. The have a shade of brown that IMO would look real nice.
