In theory all chlorinators should function with automated controls as the control manufacturers do their best to keep things universally communicatable, correct?

Will the CompuPool Salt Chlorine Generator for Inground pools work with the Aqualink rs4?

It is very unusual for a SWG to communicate correctly with a different brand SWG. However, it is not essential that the SWG and the automation system be able to talk to each other. Normally you just wire the SWG so it is only on when the pump is on, and then use the SWG control panel to control the SWG, instead of using the automation system to control the SWG.
