when to run swg system

For my size pool it says to run my intex system 3 hours, my question is better to run at night 8pm or run in morning at about 8pm. I have pump running 6am to 12pm the 6pm to 12am 6 ON 6 OFF. I was having swg come on 30 min after pump start and run 3 hrs in morning always get high salst light, so started letting pump run2 hours before system start seems to have fixed that part. Just tryin to see if better night or mornig is better.

It really doesn't matter unless you're on tiered electric rates. The object is to have the FC stay above the min for your CYA level all the time so if you test it just as the pump comes on it should be above min.

I like running my pump in segments like you do.
