I guess I can go for around 16-20, does that sound about right? Until the CYA stabelizes, I'm just guessing.
Assume CYA is exactly how much you added. If you added 20ppm, dose to the shock level the pool calc shows for 20ppm CYA. It may or may not show till next week but it's in the pool now if you put it in.

Just to bring you guys up to date, everything is looking GREAT. Water is clearing up nicely. It's almost crystal clear.
PH, TA, CL and CYA are all at about the correct levels. Now if it just doesn't come a downpour, I'll be where I need to be probably by tomorrow.
A BIG thanks to all who responded with good advice. I'll be keeping a supply of chlorine bleach, borax and Arm&Hammer on hand for general upkeep, along with the stabelizer I had left over.
Looking forward to learning even more about the BBB system.
