New Filter

I have an 18ft easy set Summer escapes pool. The filter that came with it wasn't sufficient and I just got an intex 1500 gph filter. I know I should have asked before buying it but does anyone know if the holes are the same size? Should I just switch hoses and leave the existing outlets in there or use the much nicer ones I got with the intex pump? Also do I have to drain below that level to change them or just to it quickly with water escaping?

They are likely the same size, but you could measure just in case and compare.

I'd just hold something (get a helper) over the inlet on the inside of the pool, expect a little water to come through and work fast.

You could always do double like we do too. Use the old pump to supplement the new one. Since you have it and all... It seems to help increase the swirl/movement of the water a lot. Most debris ends up in the center of the pool.
