    swg and shocking

I need to shock pool with swg. I will be using liquid chlorine. Is it necessary to turn off the swg or let it run at some specific output during the shocking process

    Welcome to TFP!

You can leave the SWG on, or turn it off, it doesn't matter as far as shocking goes. You do need to turn the SWG off to do an overnight FC loss test.

Thanks for the quick response Mr lion. Found this site thru a search and it has proved to be a valuable resource, also figured out pretty quickly that pool stores are in business to sell chemicals, not test water for free. Again thanks for reply to question. Rayr
