We do but I wonder how many of you don't. Or is it even a good idea to leave it in the pool year round? Also, I read somewhere that the pool cleaner needs to be out of the pool before shocking or it may get damaged. We left ours in since we did not know.

The manual says to remove it for shocking.
In my pool, it is hard to disconnect the hose from the wall for it is very low down and requires someone getting into the pool. If I can, I will, but shocking is so very rare for my pool.

We never close our pool and yes, our Baracuda stays in there year round to keep the bottom clean.
We never close ours either and I keep FC at the high end (target at 8). I wonder what that will do to a pool cleaner if anything.
