Connecting Hayward sand filter to Intex pool?

    Morning,

Purchased the Hayward S166T sand filter yesterday to replace the Intex filter that came with our pool. It will be delivered today and Mr.Greenmom would like to set it up after work.

Any idea what I need to purchase to make it fit to the Intex? I was planning on selling the 1500gph Intex filter that came with the pool, so I assume I need replacement tubing?

Thank you, I truly appreciate any advice!

I believe intex fittings are 1 1/4" and most non-intex pumps are 1 1/2". Look for some pvc adapters to go from 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" and get hoses to match the fittings.

Thank you! Can I get the hoses from Home Depot as well? Maybe it's better to just get pvc pipe?
