Black stains on my pebbletech pool

I have black areas on the side and bottom of my pebble tech pool. Is it Algae? When I add shock to the pool it seems to "bleach" the stains and make them go away. I now have a pool with spots on the bottom where the shock settled and darker areas where it didn't. Relentless scrubbing has little effect. Help! SWG pool.

    Welcome to the forum

Please post a full set of water test results and tell us how you got them (your kit(type), pool store, etc.)

Can you describe the black areas? Size, shape? Got a pic?

What type brush are you using? How often?

What product are you using to shock your pool that is causing 'spots on the bottom'?

Pls take a read thru Pool School. White button top of each page
See the section on 'How to Shock Your Pool'.
