DE leaking back into pool from pentair 4000 via wall jets

The filters are snug into the manifold. There are no holes in filters.


Anyone seen de leaking like this?

I read vague description about valve in backwash, but was not able to comprehend.

Welcome to TFP!

There are a number of possibilities. The most likely is a torn grid or improperly put together manifold assembly. It could also be a cracked pipe inside the filter, or something wrong with the multi-port valve, or forgetting to use rinse after backwashing.
