Purex minimax 400 pool heater

I have a Purex Minimax 400 pool heater installed in 1994. The issue I'm having with it is when I turn it on remotely the heat light does not come on.

Any ideas of what I should be looking at for troubleshooting?

Can you provide more information?

Does the heat light turn on if you turn the heater on at the local panel instead of remotely?
Does the heater run through any cycle trying to do anything, or is it just dead?
Are there any other lights on?
