Aqua Trol AG Install Problem

Hi:

Installed the unit on my 13,500 gallon above ground pool. It starts an immediately indicates NO FLOW and shuts down. We called the company and they shipped us a new unit claiming the flow valve must be bad. The new unit installed easily but does the exact same thing. We have gone over every possible thing we could think of and practically memorized the manual. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
Mary Ellen

Is this the RJ or the HP model... ???

RJ model does not have a flow switch and flashes NO FLOW for 60 seconds and then starts to generate.

The HP model has a flow switch-- make sure it is plumbed correctly in the return line-- Double check all connections...

How long has the salt been circulating in the pool before turning on the unit ???

Thanks for replying.

It's the HP model and connections are all good and it is plumbed correctly. Checked and triple checked. The salt has been in the pool for two weeks because getting this thing going is an ongoing saga. Honestly, I'm ready to lose it. The flow valve has the metal thing in there and appears to be in working order.

Thanks,
MaryEllen

Make sure the arrow on the flow switch is pointed in the right direction.

You can also take the switch out of the line and manually close it to see if the unit will run. This is a troubleshooting tip and should not be ran for more than a few seconds like that.
