Our pool and spa are connected through waterfall design. Our spa water kept draining when the pump is not running so we adjusted the valve diverter. We did this once in the past and by luck, it stopped the spa water from draining. We have the same problem again, we adjusted the valve diverter but now there is constant air pushing through the inlet when the pump goes on. So, the pump does not prime either. We repositioned the valve over and over but the spa would start draining again. It's an old compool ortega multiport valve from 1980s so we're clueless on what we're doing. We know the valve is not in the right position but we don't know how to determine what position the valve is in when we turn it?
