Chlorinator lid HELP!

Apr 14, 2010

We're preparing to go away for a few days and wanted to use our chlorinator. My husband must have over tightened it last time, so when I went out this morning and tried to unscrew the lid, the nut snapped! This leaves me with a cover that is free, and the lid still on the chlorinator, with half of a hollow nut in it and no apparent way to remove it.

I'm having little luck finding replacement parts, which means that I'll have to order them, but I have no idea how I'm going to get the rest of the lid assembly off the darn thing! :hammer: Any ideas?

In the below image, it is the nut in the #1 section that has snapped. #3 is off, but I cant remove #5.
