    Making a Solar Saddle

We have a solar cover on our above ground pool and I am looking at the solar saddles to hold the cover. Is there anyone that has built their own and if so, how did you do it?

    28,000 round above ground
    1.5 hp sand filter

I looked into it and found that it was cheaper to buy the ready made ones than to buy the parts and try to make them. But I wound up buying a reel anyway!

You can stop SLAMing your pool when you pass the OCLT (You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & You have .5ppm CC's or less) & your water is clear.

I have some ideas and I'm going to give it a try, think I can accomplish the same thing for less than $100 with some bent PVC and cable ties! I'll let you know the outcome!

kplaster: How much of the circumference of the pool would you estimate your solar saddle covers from end to end? And how far apart do you estimate your hooks are? Thanks!
