caulk at coping-deck

I have come to love silicone caulk.
Is there any reason I can't use it at the coping-deck junction- see photo & see product info.

(This would be sooo much easier than deck-o-seal & I' bet it wouldf last way longer if not forever)

LeeM2 has my permission to ask questions, post his photos etc in this thread about his pool that lacks any caulk whatsoever at this area, we've been chatting about it.

I have had very good luck with Sikaflex® Self-Leveling Sealant from Sika. I find it at Home Depot in the concrete/cement supply area. They also have backing rod as well. The cost is far less than any other option I've found.

IMO silicone is not suited for this environment and is inferior to the SIKA product.
